Dr Nammuni has a keen interest in research and through his work at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney is currently involved in a number of international multicentre studies and trials.

Teaching
Dr Nammuni is heavily involved with teaching of training doctors at all levels. Whilst working at Addenbrookes Hospital in the United Kingdom Dr Nammuni was a clinical tutor with the Cambridge University Medical School. On returning to Australia he continued his involvement with teaching and is a clinical associate with the University of Sydney Medical School. He is a clinical tutor and a lecturer for both the Gradual Medical Program and the Masters of Surgery Program. He is also involved with the teaching of Vascular Surgical Trainees with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
